Laura's 40th Birthday

August 4, 2008 would have been Laura's 40th Birthday. Her family celebrated with a tea and released balloons. Here are some pictures of her children, Nick, Emily and Trevor, and their cousin Jorja.

Pictures of Laura during our trip to Osoyoos, 2004

These pictures were taken of Laura when we met up in Osoyoos for her 10th wedding anniversary. It was the last time I saw her before she was diagnosed. She seemed happy, vibrant and healthy at that time. The next time I saw her she was in hospital to have her spleen removed and I was shocked at the change. I'm almost sorry now that I went to Vancouver, because I'd much rather remember her the way she was that beautiful weekend we spent together, laughing, talking and enjoying each other's company. I haven't posted these before because, selfishly, I wanted to keep that memory to myself for a while, but I know her family would like to see these.
